Carrillo is delimited to the north by Amatitlán, to the east by José Azueta, to the south by Chacaltianguis, to the west by Cosamaloapan and to the north-west by Ixmatlahuacan. [1]
It produces principally maize, beans, chili pepper, sugarcane and Sweet potato.
In July the town celebrates San Cristobal patron saint of the town.
